SEREMBAN (March 19): Police busted a syndicate stealing electrical energy provide to hold out Bitcoin mining actions in raids on three store premises in Seremban 3 yesterday.
District Police chief ACP Mohd Stated Ibrahim stated the built-in operation in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) resulted within the seizure of RM528,000.
“Some 82, 102 and 80 bitcoin mining machines have been confiscated from the primary, second and third premises respectively, and a person was arrested,” he informed reporters.
He stated TNB suffered a lack of RM105,000 a month on account of the unlawful actions carried out over the previous six to seven months.
The case is being investigated underneath Part 379 of the Penal Code and the Electrical energy Provide Act 1990, he added.
